Binman is a plant molecular biologist with a MSc in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Southwest University, China. Her expertise spans plant molecular biology, CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing, complemented by regeneration of stable transgenic lines, and oxidative-stress physiology. Binman's research focuses on methionine oxidation and methionine sulfoxide reductase (MSR)-mediated repair intomato, with the goal of clarifying how site-specific redox modifications shape plant immunity and crop performance. Outside the lab, Binman enjoys travelling, photography, and cooking.
